The cellTRAY® Mini Microscope is a compact, electronic inver ted imaging platform for routine monitoring and manipulation of live cells. Cells can be viewed and imaged in well plates, standard Petri dishes, flasks, slides or cellTRAYs. The cellTRAY® mini microscope system consists of three basic components, the first is a lightweight and compact CCD camera fixed to the stage.The second is a stage unit that houses the variable optical zoom lens and also holds the LED light source. Magnification = 0.71-4.5x plus a 10x digital zoom (equivalent to an x40 long working distance objective). The mini-microscope platform comes in a fixed or mechanical stage versions.  The mechanical stage offers greater XY precision when positioning a sample for imaging.

The cellTRAY® Mini Microscope system is supplied with an LED Light, CCD Camera and Lenovo netbook computer. It comes pre-loaded with custom imaging software for camera control, image capture, and time- lapse imaging.The computer can also be plugged into an LCD projector for use as a teaching platform.
