ICE System® - Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
| All ICE Cryotubes are produced ready to accept Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips - the next generation of sample identification device. RFID tags contain silicon chips and antennas to enable them to receive and respond to radio-frequency queries from an RFID transceiver. Central Labo use passive tags that produce no radiation and require no internal power source. The unique expertise of Central Labo Europe enable them to embed RFID chips into thermoplastics protecting the chip to temperatures as low as -196°C, suitable for storage in liquid nitrogen. |
