	Each element of a system must be equipped with a unique, individual, built-in, longlasting identification device.
	Traceability
	Ensures and monitors a priori and a posteriori compliance with unit and system lifetime management procedures. Who does/did what, when and how?
	Security/safety
	System security operates on three levels: . operator hygiene and protection . the guaranteed physical integrity of all system parts . computer data integrity, guaranteeing a match with the corresponding physical elements
