The ICE® system – the Intelligent Cryogenic Environment

Cryotubes featuring positive identification and full traceability

The new ICE® system cryogenic storage tubes feature a unique, permanent, laser-etched datamatrix code on 1.8ml volume tubes. Ideal for tissue and cell cryo-preservation, ICE® is designed to securely and safely keep samples at temperatures as low as -196 ° C.

All samples are read into and positively tracked via the barcode reader and secure database. Dedicated software monitors all samples removed from storage and records the location of all samples returned.

Optimise storage space with the ICE® system thanks to modular storage solutions and the inbuilt freezer management tool. Find boxes that are not being fully utilised, re-array them, rescan the boxes in seconds and return to storage. Never lose another sample!

ICE ® tubes also allow labs to future-proof their sample storage solutions by being instantly upgradeable to include RFID (radio frequency identification) chips. Store all your sample information “on-chip” giving database-independent sample traceability.
