Finnzymes’ core strength is its long experience and extensive know-how in PCR and qPCR technology. Our PCR product line includes all components required for PCR: DNA polymerases, PCR instruments and reaction vessels. Our PCR and qPCR products are thoroughly validated with all the major systems on the market.

Finnzymes’ High Performance PCR combines our proprietary DNA polymerases, PCR instruments and reaction vessels into a truly integrated solution for PCR. It gives synergistic benefits in reaction speed, amplification fidelity, product yield and specificity. High Performance PCR brings savings in time, space, and costs allowing DNA amplification with the highest accuracy with significantly shorter protocol times as compared to any other system.

Pioneering new technologies

Research and development is a very significant part of our company. We strive to develop products with features that give real value to the researcher. We seek novel ways to solve technical hindrances to achieve better performance. For example, Finnzymes introduced the fusion protein technology for DNA polymerases in 2003. This technology increases processivity of the polymerases and significantly improves their overall performance. For researchers to be able to further utilize the improved capabilities of our fusion DNA polymerases we have developed a fast thermal cycler and ultra-thin walled reaction vessels. These incorporate novel technological solutions developed by our scientists and engineers that allow significantly improved performance in PCR.

Build upon our long experience and thorough know-how in PCR and real-time qPCR technologies, Finnzymes Diagnostics offers reagents and provides testing services to customers in the microbial, forensic, and veterinary-diagnostic research fields.

Finnzymes collaborates with research groups in academia and industry to refine scientific innovations into useful commercial products for molecular biologists worldwide. We also work closely with New England Biolabs, a world leader in the production and supply of reagents for the life science industry.
