Protein Measurements A280 nm
The NanoDrop® ND-8000 Spectrophotometer will accurately and reproducibly measure purified protein samples up to 100 mg/ml (BSA), without dilution. To do this, the instrument detects the high concentration and automatically utilizes the 0.2mm pathlength to calculate the absorbance.
- Six different reference types available : 1 abs=1mg/ml, BSA, IgG, Lysozyme, user entered mass extinction coefficient, user entered molar extinction coefficient
- Concentration of protein is calculated and displayed as mg/ml
- Reblank feature allows for the re-analysis of previous set of samples with a new set of references (blanks) for each channel
- Full spectrum data is automatically archived in a text delimited file on the controller PC and easily reviewed using the Data Viewer feature
- 260/280 ratio calculated and displayed
- Sample or plate ID can be preloaded by using a barcode reader or importing from a file
- Absorbance is represented as a 10mm path equivalent
