This fully integrated system includes an inverted microscope, digital camera, and LCD display, engineered to be the most ergonomic and functional digital inverted microscope on the market today.

Break free from the eyepiece

The large, adjustable 15” color LCD frees you from the limitations of traditional eyepieces. This adjustable LCD display allows for viewing at various angles and distances and provides the ideal platform for sharing your work in collaborative meetings, scientific presentations, or training sessions. Now you and your colleagues can simultaneously observe and work with high-resolution specimen images in a comfortable conference setting.

Set up EVOS in minutes

EVOS offers “plug-and-play” simplicity, both optically and mechanically. Skip the traditional complex assembly and adjustment procedures. Just spend a few minutes setting up, connect the system to the power source, and get started.

Control EVOS with ease

Conveniently placed, easy-to-use controls respond to your needs with maximum efficiency. Large, rubber-coated, dual-focus controls sit low to the bench, allowing you to rest your arms and hands in a relaxed position. Other controls – such as the four-position magnification change wheel, phase contrast slider, and filter holder – stand ready at the front of the unit for easy access. The stain-resistant, fixed-stage platform sits only 4” above the bench for stable handling of your specimen vessels.

Enjoy superior illumination, maintenance free

The efficient LED illumination system facilitates both brightfield and phase-contrast observations. Bright, uniform, and cool LEDs deliver a constant color temperature, minimize heat generation, and provide a long service life (50,000 hrs) without maintenance.

Capture and document your work with digital tools

Press a button within fingertip reach of the focus control to capture images easily. EVOS incorporates a high-resolution, 3-megapixel CMOS color camera. Store image data on an SD™ memory card for use via card readers, printers, etc. Or connect directly to your PC or lavptop with the USB2 connection to use the Micron imaging software included with the system. Micron allows you to edit and annotate captured images, save in different file formats, and perform on-screen calibrated measurements. See the Image Gallery for samples of EVOS screen captures.

Choose the mechanical "glide" stage model for maximum efficiency

Drive the smooth mechanical glide stage to move the whole platform throughout its X-Y range of motion. The generous stage-travel range allows you to view the entire area of a micro titer plate without touching the vessel – the stage moves instead!

The EVOS mechanical stage is easy to use. For larger movements, simply use the knobs on the top of the stage. Make precision adjustments with the X-Y controls on the edges of the stage.

This configuration also features optional quick-change vessel holders that accommodate many common shapes and sizes of vessels, including flasks, Petri dishes, multi-well plates, and slides. These interchangeable vessel-specific stage plates allow you to switch between culture vessels quickly and easily.
